Born in Oakland, CA, Anne Hege began her musical studies singing with the Piedmont Children's Choir. Her studies continued in high school with her participation in the Oakland Youth Chorus's touring ensemble, Vocal Motion. While performing in Vocal Motion, she was highly influenced collaborations with composer/performers Linda Tillery, Keith Terry and their work with folk and world music. In 1998, Hege received her Bachelor degree from Wesleyan University with honors in music and was awarded the Gwen Livingston Pekora Prize for music composition. Hege continued her composition studies at Mills College studying with Fred Frith, Chris Brown, and Pauline Oliveros. In 2003, she received her MA in Composition and was awarded the Elizabeth Mills Crothers Prize for excellence of graduate composition in music. Hege has composed choral works for the Albany Community Chorus, Piedmont Children's Choir, Voce e Tempore, and Ninos y Jovenes Cantores de la Escuela Nacional de Musica de la UNAM. She regularly performs original works and art songs in her performance duo "Sidecar," and is currently working on her first movie soundtrack. This fall, Hege will begin her doctoral studies in music composition at Princeton University.
Heather Heise situates herself in diverse musical environments, from
the sacred to the arcane. Trained as a classical pianist, she
collaborates with choreographers and conductors, as well as visual
artists, improvisors, computer programmers and numerous other
professional performing musicians. She prefers the kaleidoscope to
the periscope.

Dustin Hurt: Composer, free improvisor, and organizer, Dustin Hurt is
emerging as a key element to Philadelphia's experimental and new music
scene. Dustin's frequent colaboratorations include a duo with Alban Bailly
(as Ko Koed), a trio with Tim Albro and Jesse Kudler (as HZL BRD), and a
trio with Sean Mattio and Troy Herion. He is a performer in Nicole Bindler's
Philadelphia New Dance and Music Ensemble and was a performer in John
Berndt's Baltimore based large group ensmemble, Second Nature, in March of
2006. He has also performed with Toshi Makihara, Jon Barrios, Jack Wright,
Gene Coleman, Nozal Cube, Dave Smolen, and Carlos Santiago, among others.
His composed works have been performered by members of the Philadelphia
Orchestra, the Pennsylvannia Ballet Orchestra, and regularly by the
Philadelphia based avant-supergroup, Normal Love. Dustin is also the
founding director of bowerbird, a Philadelphia based experimental music
Jesse Kudler, born 1979, improvises on guitar, synthesizer, and electronics and makes music on the computer. He attended public school until Wesleyan University, where he studied music with Ron Kuivila, Alvin Lucier, and a little bit with Anthony Braxton, among others. He eventually became active as an organizer and performer in improvised, experimental, and electronic music, forming a regular duo with fellow student Jonathan Zorn and leading the large electronic improvising ensemble Phil Collins. Kudler has also worked as a recording engineer for various projects.
In his various travels, Kudler has performed or shared stages with Jason Soliday, Brent Gutzeit, TV Pow, Nmperign, Howard Stelzer, Jason Talbot, Jason Zeh, Kyle Bruckmann, Taiwan Deth, Lotus, PSI, Milo Fine, Ellen Weller, Marcos Fernandes, Matt Bauder, Brainpaw, Mike Shiflet, Peter B, Horse Sinister, Pauline Oliveros, Matt Weston, Hrvatski, Greg Davis, Illusion of Safety, Daniel Menche, GOD, Sixes, Jack Wright, Tomas Korber, and many others.
