Thereminist Anthony Jay Ptak was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1970. Anthony has studied music with Tony Conrad, James Beauchamp, and Herbert Brün. He studied film and media art with Paul Sharits and Henry Jessionka. As a thereminist Anthony has lectured widely and performed with Russian thereminist Lydia Kavina, and Dutch thereminist Wilco Botermans. He has presented his art and music around the world in venues as diverse as CBGB's, the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music, and the streets of Spain. In the fall of 2006, Mr. Ptak will teach a course regarding sound in the visual arts at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

| David Sutton is involved in various New Brunswick and East Brunswick based musical units, including FRIENDS AND FAMILY, CURRENT AMNESIA, LADDERWOE and USA GOLD EXCHANGE. His work spans "noise" music as well as exercises in more song-based forms. ffmup alumnus Daniel DiMaggio has been a member of groups such as THE GREAT EXCAPE, BUSTARD, SEA, and RED EYES, as well as playing guitar in many free improvised music situations. Together the duo will perform a series of pieces using electronics and various string instruments, encompassing elements of improvised and "free folk" styles. | |

Seth Cluett is a visual and sound artist whose work includes photography, drawing, sculpture, video, sound installation, and performance. He lives and works in Troy, NY.His work is a comment on perception and nature. It is an examination of sound, light, weather, geology, and cognition. He uses dust, pigment, glass, sand, water, paper pulp, air pressure, and oxidation exposed to sound or light to show the potential of our senses. How does sound direct our gaze? How does light change how we listen? How do people use this knowledge for power and communication? His work has been shown/performed at the ICMC in Habana, Cuba and the Acoustical Society of America; the Palais de Tokyo/GRM in Paris, the ICA, Mobius Artist Space, MassArt/nonpod in Boston; Diapason and Engine 27 Galleries, The Knitting Factory, and ABCnoRio in New York; Deep Listening Space in Kingston; and the Betty Rymer Gallery at the Art Institute of Chicago, Heaven, Artemisia Galleries and Deadtech in Chicago, amongst others. Seth's work is documented on Errant Bodies Press, Sedimental, Crank Satori, Wavelet records as well as upcoming releases on Kissy and Televaw records.

Newton Armstrong is a composer and improviser working with various electronic instruments. He has recently performed, recorded, or worked in some less specific capacity with Tim O'Dwyer, Cor Fuhler, Clayton Thomas, Chris Abrahams, Steve Heather, Joel Stern, John Butcher, Melissa Madden Gray and Chris Mann, among other interesting people. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, he currently resides in scenic New Jersey.
