Barry Chabala (b.1961) - New Jersey guitarist, influenced as much by Jimmy Page and Pat Metheny as he is by Derek Bailey and Keith Rowe, plays music that mixes equally melodic invention with atonal free play.Ê BarryÕs music seeks to mix free improvisation with touches of electro-acoustic and jazz while not forgetting his rock & blues roots.Ê Past partners range widely from electronic artist John Hajeski to Hail/Snail & and lots of stops in between.Ê His recordings include the solo Acoustic Guitar, and his latest release, I like to PLAY, a duo with multi-wind free jazzer Matt Lavelle.

Born October 14,1970, pianist Dan DeChellis grew up in Whitehouse Station, NJ. He began piano studies at age five and quickly developed interest in a diverse range of musical styles. From 1989 to 1997 DeChellis received his master's degree in classical piano. At the New England Conservatory DeChellis worked closely with legendary composer/pianist Ran Blake and improviser Masashi Harada. DeChellis sites influences as diverse as Paul Bley, Brian Eno and the music of Anton Webern.Ê DeChellis's music seeks to blur the boundaries between contemporary classical and improvised music. Whether he is performing solo or accompanied by electronics, voice and acoustic instruments, he masterfully combines standard piano virtuosity with extended technique and explosive bursts of energy.

Reuben Radding is a bassist, free improviser, teacher, and recording engineer based in Brooklyn, NY. He was born in Washington DC in 1966, where he first began performing as a member of the legendary DC punk scene. After relocating to New York City in 1988 he studied the double bass with Mark Dresser and quickly became a busy stalwart of the so-called "Downtown" scene, performing with many of the most prominent new Jazz musicians of the time. Recent projects have included the Reuben Radding Trio with Matt Moran, and Oscar Noriega and Fugitive Pieces, a collection of improvisations derived from graphic and text-based scores featuring Nate Wooley, Andrew Drury, and Matt Bauder.Ê 2008 will see RaddingÕs Hat Art debut with the release of Crackleknob, featuring trumpeter Wooley and guitarist Mary Halvorson.

Anita DeChellis is a classically trained singer with an interest in modern literature for the voice. She began improvising with her husband, Dan DeChellis, a few years ago and has since developed her own unique voice as an improviser. Anita has performed as a soloist with the Boston Pops and has worked with various conductors and composers as well as improvising ensembles with Dan.

Kyle Page is a percussionist and composer of new music. He lives in the Lehigh Valley area of eastern Pennsylvania and is currently studying music and life with the aide of books, coffee, and friends.Ê KyleÕs recordings include the solo Òstay still, little birdÓ, the duo Òhouse on a hillÓ with afr malantonio and the duo Òlive on wptsÓ with josh beyer.

TwanÕs Dream is a group made up of musicians from the New Brunswick area, including members of Ladderwoe, Car Commercials, GT Performers, and Rumspringa.Ê They perform drone based sound work using electronic and acoustic sound sources.
