Baltimore's Dan Breen and Andy Hayleck have played as a duo for about four years. In that time they have explored many different combinations of instruments, most notably the prepared Clavinet (Breen) and bowed wire/gong (Hayleck). Last year they focused exclusively on electronic sounds from self-built and modified audio equipment.
Since then they have removed themselves from the power grid and are focusing exclusively on unamplified metal (bowed cymbals and musical saw).
They have one release entitled "illasticity" on their own Earlids label and are working on a second.
Dan is also a member of many groups including The Financial Group, Il Culo, Polymprovous, and Snacks (with Tom Boram). He plays a wide variety of instruments, including percussion, electronics, bass and "The Obscene Bird Call".
Andy has released "Various Recordings Involving Ice" on the HereSee label and is about to release "The Disappearing Floor" on Recorded. He also collaborates with musical instrument inventor Neil Feather.
In addition to playing together, Breen and Hayleck are also members of the Red Room Collective and the High Zero Foundation. The Red Room is an long-running weekly music series featuring improvised and experimental music, and the four day High Zero Festival is going into it's sixth year.

| neil feather |
Sound Mechanic Neil Feather has been creating radical and unusual musical instruments for thirty years, and is increasingly known outside of Baltimore as one of the most original musical thinkers of his day. His instruments each embody uniquely clever acoustic and engineering principles, and are visually arresting. The music he plays on the instruments is equally original, embodying new principles and resulting in a nearly alien idiom of music. A founding member of THUS and THE OFFICIAL PROJECT, as well as the leader of AEROTRAIN, he has a long history of collaborative projects and solo concerts.
